DEUCE'S WILD... words Roscoe, pics Rod

Well well well, look at this a modified Deuce, not just modified but actually reinvented four times so far by a couple of ambitious owners but none as ambitious as it's latest owner. This bike started out life as a stock Deuce (Harley's first attempt at a true factory custom). Quite a popular bike sales wise. The first owner modified it with custom wheels a lairy paint job and a twin throat side draft carby with forward facing manifold. The next proud owner I think just rode it around after having it outfitted with a 95 ci in kit and performance cams. The current owner bought it and painted it with a subtle ghost flame scheme, it looked a lot better than the lairy orange, he also decided on the best carby money can buy and bought a Mikuni carb. Thank god for that because those side draft Webers can be a nightmare to tune, as opposed to the set and forget Mikuni (I must confess to being a blatantly obvious advocate of the best Harley replacement carburettor money can buy). This latest round of mods were only satisfying for the short term, the customer then fell victim to the cool as fu** fat tyre look or "wide arse" as they are more commonly known. Ok it's as easy as choose your tyre size then wheels then the rest of the associated bling and we do the rest. Performance Machine is the best when it comes to kits to do the job. I will not bore you with the gory details as the pics tell it all but I will add that PM have hooked up with a well known seat manufacturer to make a seat that suits this kit, I can tell you now this thing fits like a seat should is really comfortable and looks shi* hot !!!! This particular Deuce (Harley factory custom) is nice to ride, goes like stink and looks a hell of a lot better than any factory custom I have ever seen. The current owner should be very very proud of the choices he has made with the latest modifications. WELL DONE!!. |
